The wines of Madiran are traditionally full bodied inky wines based on the Tannat grape, the addition of Cabernets Sauvignon and Pinec gives this wine more red and black fruit to balance the structure given by the Tannat. Tarry black fruit and oak …a rustic tangle of humus and farmyard aromas, flavours of dark cherries, figs and pepper  just what you’d expect from the southern warm region in France of Madiran. A great rich wine to go with red meats and robust stews.
